FINALLY, I got a restaurant to write about that located in my hometown, Jeddah. I am so happy that I can share with you the news that my favorite Asian restaurant is opining in Jeddah. So now I can reward myself with a meal once awhile. Ladies and gentlemen it’s “WAGAMAMA”!
For western Asian style lovers this is the absolute choice for you. Wagamama has been known for a long time worldwide, but this is the first branch to open in Saudi Arabia.
If you don’t live in Jeddah and you had the chance to come in, don’t waste the opportunity and have a lovely Asian night dinner. However, if you’re planning to visit UK, UAE, or Australia, find the closest branch to your destination and live the experience with Wagamama.
The place has a communal wooden seating which gives you the feeling of modern Asian lifestyle and coziness, however, I have noticed that the decors are changing based on the restaurant’s location. Even though, they kept their identity and style, so you get the same feeling you had last time you visited a different branch.
The food is completely Asian with a western twist, so the menu is full of verity of dishes which can be suitable for people who don’t like Asian food. I have tried different dishes but firecracker stays at the top of my list! This dish is simply composed of a fiery mix of chicken, mangetout, red and green peppers, onions and hot red chilies. Those are served with steamed rice, sesame seeds, shichimi and fresh lime.
I can’t tell you how many times I ate firecracker, but I can certainly say that I wouldn’t replace it with another one.
The place is super clean and unlike other Asian restaurants, it doesn’t smell like sea food. Also, the price is convenient and considered medium – low.
I wrote this post based on my experience to their branches abroad, however, i’m aiming to visit the one in Jeddah soon.
I hope you enjoyed my post, and I wish you a lovely experience at Wagamama.
See you soon !
